Mentorship Program

The Mentor Program at the National Association of Patent Practitioners (NAPP) provides structured guidance and professional development for both new and experienced practitioners. This initiative would pair less experienced patent professionals with seasoned mentors to foster career growth, knowledge-sharing, and networking within the field of patent law.

The following guidelines relate to qualifications for participation:

  • Mentees must be registered patent practitioners (and not law students).
  • Mentors and mentees must be NAPP members in good standing.
  • Mentors are required to be registered practitioners with at least 10 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Mentors cannot have been sanctioned, suspended, or disbarred from practice by the OED or any state bar.
